All Five Badges and Their Requirements
Your toothbrush can earn you an achievement long before you finish cleaning the Moon. Sweep The Moon badges cover five milestones: selling dust, clearing a tile, sweeping 1,000 kg, building processing machinery, and reaching 100% cleanliness. Follow those objectives while upgrading your equipment to keep your badge hunt moving.
| Badge | How to unlock | Total awards |
|---|---|---|
| Payday | Earn your first money by selling moon dust. | 1,509,425 |
| Spotless | Clean your first tile of the Moon. | 1,177,894 |
| Dust Devil | Sweep 1,000 kg of moon dust across all moons combined. | 174,314 |
| Factory Floor | Build a Crusher or a Block Press. | 42,029 |
| Clean Sweep | Clean a moon to 100%. | 5,793 |
These totals count badge awards; they are not unlock percentages. Clean Sweep has the lowest award count of the five, making full-moon completion the standout target.

Payday and Spotless: Start With One Tile

Payday requires a sale. Start sweeping with your toothbrush, collect dust in your canister, and empty it at the base to receive cash. Filling your canister alone does not complete that objective.
For Spotless, concentrate on one tile instead of scattering your effort across the map:
- Pick a tile and sweep in straight passes.
- Empty your canister when it fills, then return to the same tile.
- Keep cleaning until the tile finishes.
Tiles automatically finish cleaning at 95%, so work toward that threshold instead of hunting every remaining speck. Completing tiles also pays a bonus, giving you another reason to finish a section before moving on.
Put early cash into payout and canister upgrades. Higher payouts help fund your next purchases, while more capacity lets you collect more dust between deposits. Leave conveyor belts for later; walking to the deposit is straightforward during the opening stretch.
Dust Devil: Sweep 1,000 kg Across Multiple Moons
Dust Devil counts dust swept across all moons combined. You do not have to collect the entire 1,000 kg on a single moon.
Keep sweeping as you work toward the other objectives. Upgrade your brush and canister, then move into vehicles as your cash allows. Sweepers and larger rovers expand your cleaning options beyond the starting toothbrush.
Use straight, deliberate passes to cover dusty ground. Aim each pass at an uncleared strip so your movement contributes toward cleaning instead of repeatedly crossing finished terrain.
The requirement is measured in kilograms of dust swept. Keep that target separate from your cash balance and the Moon’s cleanliness percentage: each measures a different part of your progress.
Factory Floor: Build Either Processing Machine
Factory Floor unlocks by building a Crusher or a Block Press. Either machine satisfies the requirement, so you do not need to construct both for this badge.
Keep that purchase distinct from your other automation plans. Robot docks provide robots that clean for the crew, and belts transport dust containers, but Factory Floor specifically names the two processing machines.
Save toward one qualifying machine while continuing to earn cash from sweeping and completed tiles. If this badge is your immediate target, prioritize the Crusher or Block Press over unrelated construction.
A Practical Order for 100% Badge Completion
Use this order as your checklist, keeping Dust Devil in mind throughout the run:
- Payday: Make an early deposit to turn your collected dust into cash.
- Spotless: Finish one tile before spreading your cleaning across a wider area.
- Dust Devil: Continue sweeping toward the cumulative 1,000 kg requirement while upgrading your tools and capacity.
- Factory Floor: Build either qualifying processing machine when you can afford it.
- Clean Sweep: Push one moon all the way to 100% clean.
For the final stretch, use vehicles and robot docks to help cover the remaining ground. Coordinate with friends so you tackle different dusty sections, and finish partially cleaned tiles as you go. Clean Sweep requires the whole moon to reach 100%, so keep checking overall progress rather than stopping after a run of completed tiles.
