Sweep The Moon Speed Upgrade: Walk and Drive Faster

What Does the Speed Upgrade Do?

Long trips back to base can eat into your sweeping time. The Sweep The Moon speed upgrade helps with movement, but walking, sweeping, and driving have different speed rules. Choose your upgrade around the task that keeps interrupting your cleanup.

The clearest distinction is between traveling on foot and moving while you sweep. Fast Legs increases walking speed only when your broom is not sweeping. Once you start cleaning, your broom determines your sweeping speed.

Vehicle speed is a separate upgrade path. Faster driving helps when you’re operating a sweeper or rover; it doesn’t replace improvements to your handheld cleaning tool.

Before spending, identify your slowdown:

  • Long walks to deposit dust: Look at walking speed and canister capacity.
  • Slow progress across a dusty tile: Look at your brush and its upgrades.
  • Slow movement while driving: Look at driving speed upgrades.

Upgrading Movement Through Gameplay

The upgrade store includes a skill tree, with improvements such as canister capacity and payout alongside your other progression options. Walking speed upgrades appear during early gameplay, while driving speed is also available as a gem upgrade.

Save gems for driving speed if you’re spending your sessions behind the wheel. Buying that upgrade becomes relevant once you’re actually using a vehicle. While you’re still working with a toothbrush or brush, focus your purchases on the cleaning and deposit routine you repeat constantly.

Keep the different upgrade currencies in mind when planning purchases. A gem purchase for driving speed and a Robux game pass are separate options; don’t mistake the premium pass price for the cost of an in-game upgrade.

Fast Legs vs. Fast Vehicles

The two dedicated speed passes affect different activities. Choose the one that matches how you get around:

  • Fast Legs — 99 Robux: Adds +50% walk speed whenever your broom is not sweeping. Sweeping speed remains tied to your broom.
  • Fast Vehicles — 149 Robux: Adds +30% speed to any vehicle you drive.

Both passes stay yours across moons, including a friend’s moon.

Choose Fast Legs for faster trips home, shopping runs, and moving between work areas on foot. Choose Fast Vehicles if you regularly drive sweepers or giant rovers. Its bonus applies to the vehicle you’re driving.

The Everything bundle costs 649 Robux and includes both speed passes, plus Infinite Canister, Sell As You Sweep, 2x Cash, Head Start, and +1 Robot Dock. Compare the individual purchases with the bundle before spending, especially if speed is your only goal.

Which Upgrade Should You Prioritize?

Match your next purchase to what stops you from collecting more dust.

Your canister fills constantly

Upgrade canister capacity to reduce deposit trips. Faster walking shortens those trips, while a larger canister lets you sweep longer between them.

Infinite Canister removes the capacity limit, but you still need to empty it at the intake to receive cash. Sell As You Sweep pays as you collect dust, includes Infinite Canister, and also pays while a vehicle you drive sweeps. You still need to visit the shop to buy things.

Cleaning each tile takes too long

Put money toward your brush and cleaning upgrades. Sweep in straight lines to keep your passes organized, and increase payout early to earn more from your work.

Fast Legs leaves sweeping speed unchanged, so buy it for travel rather than expecting it to make your toothbrush clear dust faster.

You’re building toward vehicles and automation

Save toward a sweeper if driving is your next goal, then consider driving speed once you’re using it.

For automation, save toward a robot dock. Robots sweep for the crew, while belts transport dust containers to buildings. Delay early belt spending when walking to the deposit is still easy; direct that money toward the upgrades or equipment you’re currently saving for.
