Sweep The Moon Controls: How to Sweep and Sell Dust

How to Sweep and Collect Dust

That starting toothbrush has a whole Moon ahead of it. Sweep The Moon controls center on holding your tool’s sweeping action to collect dust, then emptying your canister for cash. Getting comfortable with that loop helps you earn the upgrades that make cleaning faster.

Start with your toothbrush and hold the sweeping action while working over dusty ground. The dust goes into the canister on your back. Your immediate job is to clean individual tiles; the larger goal is to get the Moon to 100% clean.

For your opening stretch:

  1. Start sweeping a dusty tile with your toothbrush.
  2. Work across it in straight lines.
  3. Collect dust in your canister.
  4. Return to the base intake to empty it and get paid.
  5. Spend your earnings on equipment and upgrades.

Keep each pass alongside the previous one to avoid leaving scattered strips behind. Focus on one tile at a time so you can see where your next pass needs to go.

How to Empty Your Canister and Get Paid

Sweeping gathers dust, while emptying your canister at the base turns that load into cash. Return to the deposit area when your canister fills, empty it, and head back out.

Your first dust sale earns Payday. Cleaning your first tile earns Spotless, giving you two early milestones while you learn the routine.

Two optional passes change how you handle collected dust:

  • Infinite Canister — 99 Robux: Your backpack never fills, but you still need to empty it at the intake to receive payment.
  • Sell As You Sweep — 249 Robux: Collected dust pays immediately, including dust gathered by a vehicle you drive. This pass includes Infinite Canister.

If you have Infinite Canister alone, keep making deposit trips to collect your earnings. Extra storage does not automatically sell the dust.

2x Cash costs 249 Robux and adds +100% cash to earnings from hand sweeping, driving, completed tiles, and your share from automation. Its bonus adds to your payout upgrades. Cash packs are not doubled, so the bonus applies to earning cash through cleaning rather than buying cash packs.

Which Upgrades to Buy Early

Visit the upgrade store to improve your canister, payout, and other cleaning capabilities. You can also buy tools such as the scrubber and large brush.

Prioritize payout upgrades early to increase your earnings. Add canister capacity when frequent deposit trips interrupt your cleaning, and improve your brush to speed up the sweeping itself.

Keep movement speed and sweeping speed separate when comparing purchases. Fast Legs increases walking speed by +50% whenever your broom is not sweeping. While you sweep, movement stays at your broom’s speed. Buy it for traveling between work areas and the base.

Moving From Hand Tools to Vehicles and Robots

Vehicles are available at the bay, with sweepers and giant rovers expanding your cleaning options beyond hand tools. Save toward a vehicle when you want to take on more of the map.

The Fast Vehicles pass costs 149 Robux and gives +30% speed to any vehicle you drive.

Robot docks let robots sweep for your crew. Save toward a dock if you want automated cleaning alongside your own work.

The +1 Robot Dock pass costs 149 Robux and lets you place one small robot dock for free in every moon. Its robots clean for the whole crew. If you pick the dock up, it is free to place again. The benefit also applies when playing in a friend’s moon.

Belts handle a different job: they carry containers of dust to the building. Delay that expense while walking to the deposit remains easy. Put early earnings toward cleaning tools, payout, capacity, or a robot dock, then add transport machinery when you have more dust to move.
